End of School Year Info

Important End of Year Information
It is hard to believe the end of the school year is here and we are ending it out of our building through Distance Learning. We will continue to work with the state and district as we move forward into the summer and upcoming school year.

Student Property Pick Up
Southwood Elementary will begin property collection and recovery of items the week of May 18. Because ensuring the safety of our families and staff is a high priority, we are following CDC guidelines.

Please follow the signs carefully as you enter the school.

Please remain in your car as you enter the “drop-off/pick-up zones”.

Maintain 6 feet of distance if not in a car.

Wear a mask if you have one.

If you are returning items such as library books, text books, activity binders, etc., please place all items that will be returned into a sealed plastic bag (grocery store bag is acceptable) with the description of the item on the bag, your child’s name and grade level.

Drivers are to roll down their window and provide staff the name of student(s), grade level and teacher as they are dropping off and/or collecting items.

They are to proceed and stop at an assigned station, place items to be returned on the designated table (pre-bagged), wait for any personal property (if applicable), sign paperwork indicating they came and proceed slowly
to the exit after directed by a staff member.

Due to the size of our school, we will accommodate 2 grade levels per day. Please follow the schedule below. We will not be prepared for any grades other than the ones identified in the chart. If you have multiple children in various grade levels, we ask that you come on May 22 or May 26.
