SAC-School Advisory Council

Dear Parents and Community Members:

The faculty and staff of Southwood Elementary School would like to invite you to become even more involved in the decision making process of our school. We are beginning to form our 2018-2019 School Advisory Council (SAC). The duties of the SAC will include:

  • Participating in the decision making process by assessing our needs, establishing priorities, defining goals and evaluating the school improvement plan.
  • Monitoring the progress and use of the 2018-19 School improvement Plan.
  • Assisting to develop the School Improvement Plan and increasing parent communication between parents, school and community.

We are seeking membership for this important team. Our SAC meets once a month for about an hour. Participation in the meetings is critical to our success.
